I'm sure that "Starfinder" was a cheap, 3d sci-fi film from the 80's, wasn't it? ;-) Probably starred Michael Ironside and Kelly Lebrock.

I like the feel of the background from the article though. I think the idea of "the gap" has promise and could be an interesting hook.
I also like the idea of a relatively slow production of supplements and books. I like the fact that paizo keep things fresh with new classes all the time and love the vibrancy of pfs but for my own characters I have not yet finished playing about with the options in the core rulebook!
