Updated with two of the three games played yesterday evening. Dave and Brian were still locked in combat when I left, so their result isn't included. Their game was delicately poised, and too close to call. I'd guess a draw or marginal victory to Dave!!  The other two games were both "Solid Victories", but one was perhaps the least solid solid victory I've ever seen  |

Mark, Indeed it was a close match! result was Brian inflicted 650 pts on me and I inflicted 627 pts on Brian, Brian held 2 free table quaters for a further 200pts. Total score me 627, Brian 850, as we didn't manage to inflict enough casualties it is a no score draw! (result!! ) Dave |

For my game against Mike when Mike added up the points initially he did not count me count capturing his dragon princes banner with my longbeards as I did not catch them in the pursuit - close though as those might elven steeds went 8! As we realised last week you only have to pursue to capture the banner so my score should be 100 higher as no one else came near the longbeards to get the banner back. Mike can you confirm you did not count it - as you added the points up and still have the bit of paper somewhere.

Original score for the game was: Steve (759) beat Mike (365) = 3/2 +384 So, if you scored another 100 then that would become: Steve (859) beat Mike (365) = 4/1 +484 You need 450+ for a Solid Victory. Shall I change this then? It doesn't make too much difference, and Mike seemed happy either way. |

As I said Mark, I really can't remember whether it was before or after my game with Steve that I realised I was misinterpreting that rule.
So, in the interest of fairness, I'm happy to give Steve the benefit of the doubt on this.
