After 4 Weeks since ordering M&R and two weeks worth of emails (with no reply) querying my lack of Copy of M&R this is the response I get from Caliver:
"Hello they all left the same day, your included please CONTACT YOUR SORTING OFFICE FIRST cheers
Dave"
Glad to see their customer service skills are top draw. Not impressed at all. I'll have to see if I can source a copy else where as thats not the response I was expecting.

They've now further replied saying it was posted Second Class which is less than impressive as I paid extra for delivery!

Now they've said it may have been posted first class. At least they have now said that if nothing turns up in the next 24 hours they will replace my copy.
Hoorah.

When I picked up a copy for Terry at Derby Dave said they'd only come in two days before and that it was the last copy he had.

Thats a shame Matt as I would say that we usually get a good service (and discounts) from Dave, of course there may be issues with settling into the new shop.

I can only agree - ordinarily I get a reasonable service from Caliver.
Its been the complete lack of response and then a very glib initial reply that has got me annoyed to be honest.
What's this about discounts?

Discounts - if you do not ask you do not get. Last time I put in a big order for just Flames of War we got 17.5% off. GW stuff we can normally easily get together enough to get his standard 20% off, and FOW usually 10% off no problem.

Forgot to add - although Dave is a very long standing friend from when we wargamed together (as toddlers??) in the 70's in Cambridge I have always found his service from caliver books to be less than 100%. In fact I cannot recall any mail order I got it all right first time! But we normally get there in the end.

Well I've just discovered he has charged me for my "replacement" copy.
Its a good job I like the rules as they are the most expensive set I now own. Needless to say I'm not impressed at all.
Its only a shame that they are the soul stockist for a number of ranges otherwise I'd go else where.

Matt, I am not sure that is exactly legal. I am sure there are rules for mail order, which is effectively what ordering on line is! The cost of postage is insurance inclusive, with the onis on the trader, NOT the customer. Dave

Well I have questioned it and I'm waiting for the response.

Yup you're quite right Mr Wilkin I've been on the phone to Trading Standards this morning and he shouldn't have charged me for the second book.

He has replied saying he will now refund me for the second book.
