I have recieved an email from Wargames Illustrated. They are looking to publish my article in the March WI 258 issue, so look out for that one! I would still like us to do something to mark the occasion, like an open day, invite WI to come along and take pics, maybe a couple of the local traders, maybe some local clubs. We could hire the upstairs on a Saturday as well as a sunday if people wish. Dave

Dave - we must nearly be at the AGM. Why not draw up an actual proposal (and costings) for discussion there?
I like the idea of marking the occasion, but I don't think we should be doing what sounds like a "mini-show". I'd prefer a few more all-dayers, perhaps with another buffet lunch, which worked well at Christmas.
More gaming, that's the best way to celebrate the 35th!

OK, we can do whatever permutations people like! with or without traders, with without guest clubs, more days, more space. I think some WI involvement for pikkie taking is a PR exercise not to be missed(hence the article, to whet the appetite for all things Gladiator). ;D Dave

I wrote a piece on the history of the club.I asked the older members for info, Tom, Barry and so on, plus I dug out the club records and looked up old committee minutes. Then I wrote up the piece and sent it off via email together with some old pics from my albums I scanned in. It has been a long time since I wrote an essay, but I hope it will be entertaining, and bring attention to the club. Which was the aim. The next thing is to make some new club shirts with GLADIATOR XXXV on one sleeve, and the GCN logo on the other! Dave

I knew you were talking about it; well done for actually writting it; I look forward to reading it. The new shirt idea sounds great; hopefully we are sticking with the black and yellow?

In terms of other clubs I can round up some of the Phoenix members to take part in some games if you'd like me to.
