All sounds very intriguing; unfortunately I cant access the sites at the moment (blocked from work) it seems an odd step. Unless they want to be like GW and have a monthly vehicle for their products.

That's a nasty, wicked and cynical thing to say...but I'd lays odds that you are right.

OMG !! Shock, horror!! a total out of the blue suprise! I wonder if they will White Dwarfify it, slowly making it a Battlefront only magazine? I will only be getting Battlegames as the last quality british wargames magazine (don't count that mini wargames rag!) if that is so. Still give it a chance, and thankfully my article will be in one of the last before any real changes are felt (hopefully) Dave

I expect it was the quality of Dave's article that convinced them to make the purchase.

Where do you get your info from Carl? Interesting. I will see what it is like, but remember WD used to be a bit of this and that with a portion of GW in, then it changed to totaly GW. I do like a general magazine with bits of everything in it. I know people say "I won't buy it, it hasn't got what I like this month" but the alternative is that we have a couple of specialist mags, and the other aspects of gaming miss out totally. So far I get WD, WI, WSS(spanish mag) and Battlegames (battlegames only one I subscribe to!). What's next, Warrior miniatures take over Miniature Wargames (not a bad idea!!) Dave

The 16 pages comes from Tabletop Gaming News.
If it's 16 pages of the same quality articles they now release on the web then the magazine will be worth reading.

I dont know about the rest of you but I have found that the recent copies of the main mags seem to have been taken over by the new plastic figures in association with the Paint an Army products?

I've noticed the same. I don't often buy them any more, but I did treat myself to copies of WSS and WI just before Christmas. Both were pretty much big adverts for "Fantasy Army Painter" and the plastic figures. Both included articles first published on the web.
It's hard to see the point of them any more.

(just read TGN) Ah! well, as you say, there is a certain link to articles with manufacturers new ranges in WI anyhow. So maybe we will see little change. We gamers are a conservative lot, and don't relish change easily! (especialy those of us at a certain time of life!! LOL). I wonder what Duncan will do now, concentrate more on his gaming I suspect! I also wonder if we could get someone from WI to come along to our open day? Dave

Ah, when we sort out the day for our open day, I wonder if he would be interested in coming along and doing a piece on our 35th anniversary? Dave
