I happened to pop into GW today and as they were very quiet I was asked if I wanted to try War of the Ring. I'd read on the internet that it was a good, fast paced fun game. I couldn't deny any of it. It was quick, easy to pick up, fun, lots of dice rolling and lots of casualties.
Not too mention the fact there were Ents, Trolls and the Witch King kicking round.
Has anybody else tried it and is anybody else interested?

I've got loads of Lord of the Rings figures. Men, Orcs, Uruks, you name it I've probably got it. So yeah I'm willing to give it a go. As usual I'm looking to unload some of them, I'm prepared to sell painted figs for the cost of unpainted figs.

Well I pre-ordered it today =) I put my money where my mouth of Sauron us  I also purchased the Moria set so I could get the Fellowship and some goblins and a troll. |

Buying or playing? I'm looking to get rid of the good figures I've got (good as opposed to evil that is). I have Rohan and Gondor figures plus some odds and sods. I also might be prepared to dispose of my Uruks.
Did you get my reply to the message you sent to me? Just to repeat myself, Immortal Miniatures.

More thoughts, if anyone buys the rules I probably have enough toys to provide armies for both sides. So if you can wait until I'm not working I'll bring my toys along and we can try the rules without having to spend more money than necessary.

So is anybody else picking up the rules tomorrow? ( apart from Martyn who got his last week!)
Martyn has tied his colors to the side of Good and is going to playing dwarves. I'm tying my colours to the Evil Side. Although I'm yet to confirm a faction although you can be sure Orcs will be in there somewhere along the lines.
I'll save making a decision until I've had a good look at the rules.
