Hi All, just got back from Salute with a good haul of loot! Amongst which is a game called Tannhauser, from Fantasy Flight Games. This was being demo'd by Esdevium Games at the show, and looks good. A quick flick through the rulebook on getting it home assures me this was a good purchase. This looks to be a fun innovative game for 2-10 players, I will have to schedule an evening to play it, if there are any takers.(check out it's web site new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=28&esem=4 ) Dave

Looks just like Secrets of the Third Reich which strangely enough you said you weren't going to play as you didn't want to start something else. Funny that.... Salute is a dangerous place - you turn up with a fat load of cash, next minute you buy a game you've never heard of. Lesson to the wise there. They didn't have pretty girls on the stand did they? Wargods of Aegyptus did that one year and there was nearly a stampede!

No Matt, no pretty girls on the stand. But there were two blonds going up and down the queue selling the re vamped miniature wargames mag. Needless to say I purchased one....magazine that is, lol. I maybring it on Monday, if there is time, we could at least have a go at looking over the rules. Dave

Can't go Monday night as my mate Ross is over from California. Normally I'd probably bring him along but as its the AGM it would be rather boring for him.
I'd be interesting to see what your new purchase is like though.
Is Wargames Mag any good. It would take a MASSIVE (not I felt obliged to use capital letters there) change for me to buy that pile of dogs poop again.
Have they invested in a duster yet to clean the dust off their miniatures?
