As the MK show will soon be upon us and we are attempting the 2nd day of our ACW game I am happy to sort out the revised labels and liaise with you all for the necessary figures. Mark we will need to decide the new stats for those units that were engaged on day one I am sure that some on both sides were too knocked about to be of any use on day two which will reduce the troops required. Also we will need to review the likely location for the 2nd encounter may be we wont need so much terrain. Also what do we want to do for terrain boards or hexes; and is there anything we want to pick up in a hurry as members will be going to Sheffield this weekend.

I still think it is a very bad idea to do "day 2" of our game at MK. There just won't be enough of us to get anything done. I also don't think we have enough quality 15mm terrain to do the club justice. Previous years our games have looked visually rather special, but then we had enough suitable terrain to cover the entire table.
However, if everybody else wants to give it a try then might I suggest that instead of doing the full blown thing we could do an "early morning" flanking attack by one of the armies on the other. If it were the Confederates launching the attack it could be on the right flank of the Union troops who would be deployed on Culp's Hill and around Gettysburg. We could probably fit that into a 12 x 6. Use two full Confederate corp and perhaps 4-6 Union.
I had hoped to play out a little scenario generator that I've devised for day 2, but it will lead to the full shebang again and would need everything we had last time.

Sounds ideal; we can then gage the arrivals to suit the number of people available and even spread it over the two days if we need too.

I have been ill the last week, and have not been up to doing much. I managed a referb job on the Cemetry hill archway, and of course my CSA troops as per the all day before XMas are not touched since then, so should be good to go. No flyers are done(did someone else say they were sorting that?) but if no one has done them so be it, I am not up to it myself as things are at present (new drugs playing up!) Dave
