Some developements on the June weekend (which we will still have to pay the NEWMC for, committee!) I have been contacting local clubs to see if any of them would like to take part in the day, come along and play various games Vs our members, or with our members. Also contacted Henry Hyde from Battlegames mag, and Andrew Hubback from Mini Wargames. Henry seems interested, we may have some "old School" gaming for people to try, if he comes. I have also contacted our old friend Colin Wheeler, from Gamers and he would like to come along on the Saturday, with a few things from his shop, so any requests for board games? I have also asked Tom from Project Hydra, and I will see if he can make the Sunday with a few items.
We will need to start thinking about the games we will put on. As I askesd the Phoenix 8 over, we should have some AT43, luckily this can be done on 2 2x4 boards (use my new terrain!) so not much space needed there. Huntingdon yet to reply, but thier Crossfire game is always fun. Northampton and Rushden will probably just get involved in whatever games we plan, 40K, Warhammer, FoW. It would be nice to have some FOG, and Stephens usual Peter Guilder WW2, very visually pleasing! Maybe a 7yw game, and a Boardgaming and RPG area? I am sure with good planning we can maximise our limited space to the most efficient configuration. (so no plonking a big game in the middle of the room on that weekend please!) I t may be worth asking if it is possable to set up on the Friday night before, perhapse.
