I'll be getting to the club for 8 (if East Midlands Trains don't fail me). Rubbish I know.
What about everyone else?

I live about 15 minutes' walk from the club, so I can make 7- no trains involved thank God.
Edited for typo.

With a 1k game we should be done and dusted within 2 hours. If we take our time. probably be more like 90 mins.

Cheers for the game guys, mucho fun.
I checked the rules when I got home...the mighty scouts shouldn't have been quite so close on turn 1. Their Scout Move allows them an extra move before turn 1, but they must stay 12" from enemy models.
They would have still made assault on turn 1 this time (they got a 6 for difficult terrain) but worth remembering for next time.
Rematch next week?

Thanks for a great game guys, exciting to the end!
It did strike me that the Pathfinders shouldn't have got a round of shooting off the turn they disembarked either, since if their vehicle moved before disembarkation, they count as moving too!
And then I realised I hadn't been firing the surviving Crisis suit Commander's fusion blaster alongside the plasma rifle even though he had a hard wired multi tracker...!
A rematch next week sounds good, maybe we can escalate it from 1000 pts per side to 1500pts and get some more goodies on the table. Maybe we should get a new thread going for this one?
Edit: Hey no problem James, we had a fun game, I just threw some more Tau on to make it up to 1000pts. Of course any game is cooler with a bit of Orky mayhem, so I'm looking forward to a game!
Another idea for the future might be instead of four players fielding 500/750pts and fighting one 1000pt/1500pt battle, we could switch to playing 1 vs 1 at 500/750pts and squeeze in two battles each?

We ended on turn 5 due to the time so it ended as follows:
Victory: for the Emperor's finest! One objective controlled by scouts, the other contested by a Chaplain (with not a single Tau unit in range)
MVP: Scouts - Took out Crisis Commander on turn 1, then hunkered down in cover until turn 4 when they made a mad dash across open terrain to seize and control the objective to win the game.
Lessons learnt 1: 5th Ed. rules are SOO different to 4th. Every time I stopped play with "you need to roll for xyz..." it turned out that that particular rule no longer existed. *grumble*
Lessons learnt 2: Tau tanks are indestructible. Seriously. Av13 AND a 4+ cover save from ranged attacks? Not to mention the whole "skimmer moving 12" = 6's to hit in CC". Come on fish head, get out of the tin can...
Lessons learnt 3: Whirlwinds make mincemeat of 4+ armour troops. But their bum's are made of papier mache. Defend the rear!
Turn 6 would have seen some dead scouts (maybe, the dice were smiling kindly on them), a dead Chaplain (possibly) and the terminators might have sunk their teeth into The Invincible Devilfish.
Think I might bring my Nids down next Monday.
EDIT: d**n, too slow to respond.
