Dave (Maurice or other 40k gamers)
Looking on the GW site I am not sure what 40k scenery you said you wanted, the only town item I can see for about £50 is the Imperial Sector which is item code: 99120199006
What this what you meant or something else?

There's the "Imperial Strongpoint" which is 2 Bastions (Keeps) and 3ft of defensive walls for £54.

The sector is good set, it's composed of a few ruined structures. These sets provide better value the more expensive the version you buy is.
The Strongpoint box is fortifications, I'm not sure if it is still the case but when it came out the smaller boxes actually worked out at better value!? Hopefully this is no longer the case.
I think the choice depends on what kind of terrain people want. Personally I'm not sure how much use more 'bunkers' would be (unless people have an intention to play lots of Planetstrike games), which makes the Imperial Sector seem like a better choice. However, I have no issue with either set.

The sector is basicly what I was talking about. It is the set I made my 4 buidings from. The tower is for the new planetstrike suppliment, basicly planet invasion, space D Day if you will. This may also be good, but I think the sector to be more generic, and therefore have a wider use. Dave

Dave, do you want me to order the blastscape set as well (£12). this would put us from the 15% to the 20% discount rate with Caliver so effectively only cost us about £5 extra?

I wouldn't. According to a number of people who've posted on Warseer the blastscape scenary items aren't very good quality and the level of detail isn't supposed to be that great.
If the club does want to get something similar to that however, the moonscape craters are more detailed, slightly cheaper (£10), and as a bonus stack quite well on top of each other, so storage requirements for them are minimal.

Not heard anything back from Caliver books on prices and availabilty (some of what we want is not on their website so cannot place auto order) and if they do not reply soon will be too late to get the trees for the club game.

Have ordered it now - done moonscape rather than blastscape.
