Just saw this site on WarSeer. A new UK company producing fantasy High Elves in Plastic. Prices seem very reasonable: www.manticgames.com

I've been tracking these for a few weeks - I note their shipping date has already slipped from mid to late Sept and now into early Oct (on the Maelstrom site) - so I'm waiting to see the product i'in stock' before parting with any cash.
They are planning a show and tell at Maelstrom Games in the near future, I'm still undecided on the quality of the figures and if the bases on the pictures are 20mm, then these are small elves - but the prices look good.

Hard to tell, but to my eyes they look tiny. All those references to "true 28mm" mean they probably aren't compatible with GW minis, but fielding an entire army of them probably wouldn't look bad.
I'd want to see them in the flesh, before taking a punt though. Not that I need any more Elves.

It looks like there are some Undead in the works for January. I saw a side by side comparison of Mantic Elves with WHFB Elves by Beasts of War on YouTube. The minis looked interchangeable for scale and definitely for base size.
It looked as if the Mantic elves were in more of a slender true to life proportion, however.
I am looking at sorting a fantasy army out, now that I have rounded out a playable Warmachine force. Mantic's take on fantasy design is interesting, and the prices certainly don't hurt their case.
Now, if only they could get some rules published! I suppose that might accompany the release of the Undead army.
