Just a quick note to say the law of sod is such that the part time evening class I have just signed up to is on Monday nights. So for the next two years I'll be studying instead of gaming!
Although as my wife is in the Police my Sundays are starting to become free so I'm hoping the all dayers are going to be a regular thing (as I think I've only ever been to one)
Tough call to make oddly enough.

Looks like I'll be able to get in quite a few Mondays - these student types seem to spend more time on holiday than at college. We've only just started and we're on break for a week on the 26th October.

Funny, but as I recall, the 'holidays' were a time to build up the beleaguered beer fund during a time when university social life was on hold, especially in the wake of the euphoric spending that occurred in Freshers' Week and the first term. No doubt a few pricy electronic luxuries* will have been splurged on thanks to the "never seen this much (loan) money on my bank statement before" syndrome. *(PS3, IPhone, stereo, laptop, the list for gadgets alone is wallet rendingly long) Were it a BBC wildlife documentary David Attenborough might have put it thus: "...and so begins the seasonal pattern of hedonistic indebtedness and agonised saving which will characterise the student's financial life, if not till the end of their days, then certainly until the end of their degree." Imagining a montage of partying students intercut with their apathetic efforts in various seasonal jobs is an optional extra with this voiceover.

A little strong; they can certainly drink; they don't spend much time in lectures, however most have to now pay for this pleasure themselves of course with a bit of help from there parents.
