NEW LAUNCH EVENT FOR 2010 Corrivalry 27 & 28 February 2010 Location: A few miles from Junction 16 M1 (Daventry). Final details to follow. Tournament: FoW Late War 1750 (1 list with 500 point variation) Scenarios: All scenarios will be 'official' Battefront and will be table specific. More details can be found at: www.corrivalry.co.ukWhat I have tried to do is put a spin on the traditional tournament format and given it some flexibility with list choice, variety of scenarios and as a sceneryaholic I will be trying to make the scenery (with others help) second to none!! I hope once you have read the detail on the website it floats your boat and you give this inaugural event a shot!! It's local so hopefully the geography will work for most!! Cheers Nobby P.S. There will be news after this weekend of an Ancients Tournament as part of this convention as well as a Blood Bowl tournament. More to follow!!

mmmm,Interesting, FoW has cooled off somewhat at our club, but the Ancient tournie may be of interest (WAB I hope!) we have more WFB, 40K and AT43 players active in tournaments at present though! Dave

Ancients in year 1 is likely to be either WRG 6th (undergoing a reprint with amends as we speak!!) or FOG I think. The other systems you mention are more likely to come in year 2 I am afraid!!
Cheers

Nobby, Just realised you are the Chair of Northampton Warlords, just checked your site, and it looks like a totally different club. Well done on what looks like a very successfull re launch. We are at Derby tommorrow, (4th) but I will try and get over on your next meet, 18th isn't it? (as I am supposed to be the GCN Knight for the area...Knight= local area rep...silly GCN names!) ;D We will have to get some kind of inter club thing organised. Dave

Hi Dave
I was playing in the FoW tournament at Old Glory myself and did see a bunch of Bedford Gladiator T-Shirts wandering!!
Thank you for your comments. Have tried to bring a new ethos to the club and slowly but surely we are growing!! We have an inter-club game against Cambridge next Sunday - FoW Eastern and Western fronts - Total War rules - 9 players a side. Should be great.
Would be great to meet you...will try and come to one of your club meets as i work at Millbrook so ccould come via Bedford on my way home one night!!
FYI Gary Arthur (Garth) is our club secretary and is dealing with all of the GCN paperwork as we have currently lapsed like some other local clubs!! We are on the case with our CRB forms etc though!!
Cheers

Ah! Cambridge club, Say Hi to Listy for me! lost contact with that club of late. Yes we had a great time at Derby, I haven't been since they held it at the Assembly rooms, many moons ago, but spent loads on Victorix French! By the way we also have monthly meets in addition to our Monday ones, held every 2nd Sunday, The next one is this comming Sunday in fact so if you are able ,please drop in. We are open noon till 1030pm. On the GCN front are you aware of an EGM being held at Warhammer World on the 25th of this Month? As your membership has somewhat lapsed I am not sure of your eligability to attend, but ask Laurie or any of the Committee if you are after inclusion. Dave

Hi Dave
Was aware of the EGM...as a lapsed club don't think we are allowed to attend. Any way you could find out through your contacts please. have been briefed on why it has been called.
Cheers

Can't play in the tournament, but quite interested in (re)-taking up WRG 6th. Do you have any players at Northampton ? I am toying with 28mm ancients, but only really want to do WRG 6th . . . ah, the nostalgia !

With the rules being re-published that should generate a resurgence of interest though!! Sorry for the delay in responding work has been mad!! Cheers Nobby

Update for you all. Outgrowing the venue so am thinking of using an adjacent venue to keep it in the same place at the moment. If I do that I may add an other comp or two. Any suggestions? My list has on it:
Warhammer Fantasy/40K Warmachine/Hordes WAB Rules of Engagement
Any other thoughts?
42 booked in for FoW. 10 for WRG 6th. 3 for Blood Bowl. 100 days to go.
Website updated with all genres having Headline Sponsors. Full details on the website. Payment by Paypal now set up.
Any thoughts appreciated!!!
Cheers

I think our crew would be most interested in WFB or 40k, maybe with WAB in 3rd? Dave
