Anyone else looking for a game this Monday?

I'm free, but was looking to try out one of my final two lists for the comp, so I'm really looking to play somebody from Division 2.
Anybody?

If no one from D2 is about, or you want I can bring my Dwarves for a practice game. I have already handed my tournament list in anyway.

Mark I am going to play Steve W on Monday so we may be able to sort out something between us. Terry

OK, but it would be good if we can sort something out beforehand.
I guess there's not that many players from division 2 that use the forum. I think only Stephen, Dave B and Terry are members.
I'm still struggling to decide which army to use, let alone the actual list. I was like this last year too, but had less armies then :-)
All I know is that I've ruled out a couple, and that had they been allowed I'd have used the new demons of chaos.
Cheers
Mark

I would give you a game Mark, but I'm going to be playing Runequest that week with Mike.
I can give you a practice game the following week if you'd like.

Thanks, Stephen. But I really want to get my list sorted out this week and submit it on Monday. That way Steve can give me the other ones to check and people can get started. In know plenty of people are itching to go. Think I've got the choice down to three now

Fair enough.
I'm not going to be playing my first game for at least another couple of weeks, as I've still got two units that need finishing off.

If Terry and Mark want to play I can give you a game of warhammer John. I want to try out a dark elf shoot em up version so amy not have all the right figures paineted up and need to substitute some HE figs for now if that is OK with you?

Hi Steve, if that's ok with everyone else then sounds good. I've no problem with you using proxy models

I'll bring either a dark elf or dwarf army down then and see who wants a game?

I cannot see anywhere in the rulebook that single characters on foot have flanks? In Character Movement (p72) it says "Man sized characters on foot have a unit strength of 1 and follow the movement rules for skirmishers, there is nothing in the skirmishers sections showing they have flanks and in the formation rules is specifically says they do not. Whereas mounted characters move as monsters and monsters have flanks?
Tried looking on the Warhammer forum but too much on it to find any answers?

Any model that has a 360 degree LOS does not have flanks or a rear as far as the rules as concerned.

The single model was fighting one unit to the front when charged in the flank.

I stand 100% corrected, I missed one line in my reading (last one of below).
A single character on foot is treated as a skirmisher (p72).
Skirmishers "do not have a specific facing" (p65).
How ever hidden away on (p67) "In close combat, Skirmishers will remain in the ranked up formation... and will therefore have a front, flank and rear as long as the fight continues".
