Needed a catchy title . In the absence of gaming at the club I'll have to settle for doodling at home. A slightly mad idea has formed in my brain and I aim to go along with it, because it pleases us . I'm gonna dive head first in and try to construct my own old west scenery for some 40mm HLBS minis I've bought (and more to follow...). Hopefully it'll be a successful project and I might even post some pictures later on. Never done anything like this before, but there's a first for everything. Watch this space in the following weeks, it'll be a slow process as I've only got a couple of hours to spare every night after the little 'uns bedtime. Anyone got tips and tricks are welcome to share them of course.

Minor setback! Due to the staff at Goldings not being anywhere near "Employee of the month" I grabbed some wood that looked right, however, it wasn't balsa , will make another try on Saturday, maybe better luck with the staff then. Never mind, can still use that wood for the roof. Have cut out and assembled the frame for the "test building", a simple homestead, and will hopefully have it done by Sunday or so. Ove the builder.

I have now finished my first building ever!!! Yiiiha. I've learned some things in the process, like making my roof better next time and to spraypaint the balsa instead of trying to paint it with my acrylic paint, the wood soaks up way too much of it. But all in all I'm pretty satisfied with it. Might post picture later. Now I shall only finish the second batch minis and put a base on the building...
