Hello Folks, The current preeminence of filthy lists at Tournaments as put me off competitive warhammer to a certain extent. Its clear to me that either GW do not care about balancing lists or most likely they promote the latest Army book to sell models. This has led to comping of Tournaments. From what i have seen comping limits the filthier elements of army lists. Also i would like to see fluffier list in competitive play. Therefore I came across the WPS system. Originally derived form the Warhammer players society. looking at the PDF it seems it aims to balance out list and from what ive read it does a good job. Therefore, i invite our resident Warhammer players to read the rules and look for your comments critique. atlantis.sverok.net/WPS/RT_WPS_Comp_20100208.pdfI would like to play a small tournament with the above to see if it works.

Hanging around Swedish sites? Recognised the sverok.net address, SVEROK is the largest society in Sweden for RPGs and Wargames. But I never was a member, Partisanplayer... Ove.

I've played in a WPS style tournament and it works pretty well. Has all the same issues that other comp types do, namely that they just change the best combos rather than leaving a level field. That said it does at least 'limit' the difference in powerlevels.

Hello Ove,
Im not sure where the Warhammer Players Society rules originated, but i dont think it was Sweden. It was the highest rank listing for it.
John, Like you say no comp system is perfect, but some comping is better then nothing in my eyes. If we could get a couple more lad we could fight a few games with it.
