Having thought about it a wee bit, I think that the create your own chapter rules are a bit unnecessary at this stage, so am prepared to accept player characters from the following chapters: Black Templars Blood Angels Dark Angels Ultramarines Space Wolves Storm Wardens Imperial Fists Novamarines White consuls Black Consuls Mortifactors Genesis Chapter Consecrators Angels of Redemption Angels of Absolution Flesh Tearers Lamenters Blood Drinkers Knights of Blood Crimson Fists Hammers of Dorn Subjugators Specialities available are: Apothecary Assault Marine Devastator Marine Librarian Tactical Marine techmarine Black Shield Champion Chaplain Dreadnought (yes, a dreadnought !!! How cool is that ??!!) Epistolary Forge Master Keeper Kill-Marine Watch captain First Company Veteran I would like each player to provide two models; one painted in the livery of your chosen parent chapter, and one in the livery of the Deathwatch. During the game your character can be in solo mode or squad mode. We can use the figures painted in chapter colours to show characters in solo mode, and the Deathwatch ones for squad mode. Martyn Martyn what points level are we starting as as some of the advanced specializations have pre requisits

Maurice
Assume we're starting at rank 1. I MAY up them by a rank or two to cope with the scenario, but don't choose any specialization where you need to be above rank 3.
I should be at the club next Monday and we can begin rolling up characters.

I too should be there on Monday and available to roll up.
Maurice - I think it was just me thinking apothecary or techmarine (unless someone else said this in person last week at the club?) I'm having real trouble choosing so if you want one of these I'll take the other!
Dave - I suspect I'll need to pay subs for the year (!) I'll make sure I bring some cash on Monday

Right you are
I think I've decided on a Storm Warden Techmarine ;D
Edit: But I'm also happy to be a Space Wolf Devastator if it looks like it'll serve the kill team better. You assault marine will need some covering fire! (are SW Devastators still called Long Fangs?)

Long Fang it is.
However I might have to scratch having the character trait of rarely putting his helmet on. The space wolf heads seem to all be shockingly bad!
Might just go for the good old mark VI helmet instead

Technically I don't think Deathwatch marines are 'assault', 'tactical' or 'devastator' as these are squad descriptions. We're all 'Deathwatch' marines with specialities. That said I have every intention of calling you Long Fang... or Old Codger My Blackshield (Ultramarine rules) Tactical Marine will be sure to tell you where to shoot (not that you'll listen )

Black Shield . . . that means it's a case of "Deathwatch till I die!" or something isn't it? Some unspeakably dark act to atone for? With an Ultramarine's clean cut reputation?
What did he do? Forget to shave for parade? ;D
