Thanks Stephen, that's great Should put us nicely in the middle of level 6 From memory we were on about 23,600 XP I think, but I might be out by a couple of hundred either way so don't take that as gospel (I'm at work at the moment so I can't look at my character sheet) By a remarkable coincidence 4,000 gp is exactly what I need for a Headband of Vast Intelligence – kinda makes sense for an arcane spellcaster, don't ya think Not sure which bonus skill I'd like yet (again can't look at my character sheet until I get home) Regarding the loot allocation, current allocation is: Haunted Shoes – Elena Gend Goggles of Brilliant Light – Arete Ring of Strength Sapping – unassigned simply on the grounds that nobody else has put a bid in yet

As a shieldbearer of Torag, Bastion is unlikely to ever want to use anything but his own shield and armour as both are engraved with his own deeds of valour and are part of his identity.
Given that, he definitely wants to have the enchantments on his shield and armor upgraded if possible while we are stationed somewhere where this is possible. He will therefore definitely spend 3000gp of his 4k to upgrade his +1 armor to +2 (assuming Stephen is allowing upgrades by paying the difference in cost).
Clearly upgrading his ac is his priority given his role in the party.
I'd love to be able to upgrade his shield (defensively) as well for a further 3k. He has a 1k left from his allocation meaning he'd need 2k from sold goods or party funds or swapped goods or someone else's allocation to make this happen. Let me know if anyone is willing or able or wants to swap say a ring of protection or amulet for the necessary funds? I'd be willing to do that so that the upgrades can be done while there's a chance - further rings of protection might be found or bought elsewhere but he won't trust just anyone to mess with his shield!
No worries if not. If not, there's 1k from his allocation for someone else's use. If no one want the strength sapping thingey perhaps we could sell that?
Btw Bastions wand of cure light (the party's wand) is down to 6 charges. I agree with Mike we def need a new one of one level or another!

A quick update on what happened last night for those who couldn't make it.
The slightly reduced strength party picked up where we left off last time with several houses on fire, and the green fire spirit woman having vanished into the ground.
Just as the villagers had started to form a bucket chain a strange roaring crackling voice cried out "None of you will escape me. You will all BURN. Burn as I BURNED!. You will all BURN!!, BURN, BURN!!...." It grew more and more high pitched as it went on, ending in an unearthly wail that is ubruptly cut off.
This frightened the villagers off, but the PC's managed to persuade them to come back and everyone got to work trying to put out the flames.
At that point two small groups of three shadows came out of the darkness and attacked the villagers forming the bucket chain. Unfortunately the party didn't spot them until it was almost to late, and while they quickly sprang into action to fight the undead off, two villagers were slain by the shadows and themselves rose as the more of the insubstantial undead.
They eventually defeated them, but not before everyone bar Elena had been heavily drained of strength. Kyros was particularly badly effected and actually reached the point where he simply couldn't stand up under the weight of the gear he was carrying, having to drop his backpack and shield to allow him to move around properly.
After a couple of days rest, and a number of lesser restorations spells (care of Arete) they have headed out to try and find the home of a spellcaster the villagers have told them lives some way north of the cave shrine, so fairly deep in the forest. Having found and followed a trail heading northwards the PC's have come across some foliage that was burning with a green flame, and Drodal scouting slightly ahead has spotted the burned out ruins of a building in a small clearing.
We left it at that point, and will pick up there in a fortnights time.
1,600 XP each was earned, and if I'm remembering correctly that now puts everyone on 35,200 XP which means you have levelled up to 7 now.
So people need to level their characters up by the next session. If people have gained new spell slots we'll just assume that you've had a chance to memorize spells in them.

Sorry to hear that.
I guess we'll keep on assuming that Demos has just gotten himself lost in the forest somewhere.

Bah! Just realised I'm away in the Pennines for our next session (20th) - means Snotling Carl won't be there either.....
We could all be frolicking in the woods with Fugly Karl....

Right. May need to postpone the game then, if Karl can't make it in two weeks time then we'll only have 3 players which isn't really enough.

Just been going through my notes and worked out what we currently have
So, just so everything is above board – current party funds stands at 2,900 gp Not that this helps us much at the moment, on account of us being in the middle of nowhere, but does no harm to be aware
Not really that much given the sort of stuff we need to be buying now, but feel free to suggest anything you think we need next time we are in town
On a separate, but not entirely unrelated, note – Elena is able to make wands, potions and alchemical substances Usual party deal – just cover her expenses and she's happy
Note to the GM (just for clarification) – if random NPCs want anything they pay full price, the above deal is for party members only

Hey, I'm still out of action and unable to attend tonight. Was hoping to be back this week but no luck. I guess Demos is aeay trying to find an animal companion.

Just to keep everybody informed
I last night's session we purchased four potions of lesser restoration at a cost of 300gp each (level 2 spell in potion form)
That's 1,200gp from party funds
So party funds currently stands at 1,700gp
