Yes, I am after a game...however I think there was talk of a campaign afew weeks ago, involving Wayne and the GW shop. there may well be quite a few members interested in this... I will bring some 40K stuff down on the off chance, but also have Descent, and a new game (for me)Chaos Marauders.

@ Ajudicator.... First post to the board, however, I'm a member of another pro-board, so I'll just get right in to it. Of my circle of 6 40k players, 2 of them cant really make it, and 2 have stopped playing, so I'm hoping to find more players here. (The fifth I doubt would be welcome)
Why would this person not be welcome (intrigued) we are an inclusive kind of bunch here..I liketo think!

Thanks elle for backing me up :-). That is what I meant, plus fortuning and a wraithguard squad makes them very difficult to kill (with conceal of course). The way I see it you get the free power as you can then fortune eldrad as he is part of the squad too.
I would probably take 2 farseers with my wraithguard units that will do the same thing. Is there an apoc unit with 2 units wraithguard a wraithlord and warlocks? that might work just as well
I will be down on the 8th all day if anyone wants to discuss this in person, I have my own 10k game planned. You might be able to check out my lynx :-D. I will try and bring the spearhead rules with me, but as elle siad they are on the website.

It does sound like quite a difficult unit to kill, perhaps moreso than Adjudicator's usual unit of fortune'd warlocks. I only know of one Apocalypse formation which uses Wraithguard and thats the Spirit Host in the standard Apocalypse book. No Farseer but you need a unit of Warlocks upgraded to Spiritseers (you mentioned conceal) and three Wraithguard units / Wraithlords. Nice cheap way to make a large portion of an army fearless and nothing stops you adding a individual farseer to it. Adjudicator may know of another, he tends to collect formation datasheets for eldar.

The fifth person is a chap who has a lot of legal issues circling his head, and as such, he is permanantly drunk. The last time i spoke to him, I said he'd be welcome to play 40k round my gaff, but only if he didnt stink of booze and was sober for once. Over the passed year, he's not been able to pull that off. It is a real Greek tragedy, as he has an ENOURMOUS tyranid army, has some spectacular tactics, one of the few friends who is actually older than me (most are 22-30), but I have a 2 year old, and wouldnt let him in in that state. I don't know how wayne allows him in GWS with all those kids about. If he could straighten himself out, and pull himself away from the booze for a day, then I'm sure he might even come across as pleasant. I've got my own massive problems, as have a lot of people, I refuse to believe the answer is in being drunk 24/7.

Elizabeth has stumbled (I put my money on that she knew of it, and was just double checking), upon an apoc mission, where B's blood angels would have a 5k force, and be defending an area, whilst me and one other (mike, the eldar player), would have 5k each - yup, we'd have double his army size. 10k vs. 5k It works, and if you think it is unfair to have double his points, I'll give you a couple of heads-up. He has never failed to catpure initiative (God knows how, the die is certainly not loaded), I've never won, and in a couple of games, he has pulled of almost complete anhialation, with an almost flawless victory. Elizabeth's tactics is that she knows how to perfectly carry off a manouver, and is an extremely cunning strategist. B's tactic is thinking of every possible move frm 2-3 turns ahead. My tactics are to utilise the best of my units, so my seer council with a LOT of psychic powers, all with double range have a huge effect on the board. using doom on an enemy unit that is about to be hailed upon by a bladestorm, or howling banshees is always nice. Guide on shooting targets, like when bladestorm increase the amount of hits too. I like to see different armies, different players and tactics. Elizabeth and I have gone over some spearhead rules, and they seem to be like formations to me. Certain units grouped together, and paying points to have those units capable of interesting things. The Stormstrike for instance, the fire dragons would be able to charge, yes, but they do not get to shoot. Using melta-bombs against a tank is an easy kill yes, but then if there is anything in the tank, of something lurking nearby with blast weapons, the fire dragon squad is as good as dead. I like the idea, has both up and down points - it is going to be down to how you use the rule, that will be interesting. I for one would allow the spearhead, but like Elizabeth has said, don't make it the center of your army, because once it is used, the opponent need only mop up after you. B makes calculated risks. If B allows the spearhead, you're all clear to go, I would however ask that you are careful with your tactics. Even if we out-point him dramatically.
One spearhead i was working on, was lots of wraithlord. 6 in a spearhead, they get all kinds of stupid rules, like fleet of foot, furious charge, etc, but 2 of them were lost somehow, when i was leaving them around other peoples'. So I need to grab, glue and paint another 4 for that spearhead. I want the scorpion first. Always have wanted it. I own a scorpion knife, sword, got a scorpion tattoo, and all kinds of other personal affects. Having one in 40k would just be something personal to me. I'm even going so far as to attempting to have a baby girl born around the begining of November. I'm nov 18th, myself.

I can field some standard 40k codex Tyranids if you still need another player. I have around 5,000pts which can be pushed to 6,000 with all options. I don't have the Apocalypse or Spearhead rules so it will just be the standard units.

Still too much favour placed upon me Adjudicator... Won't talk much on Adjudicators typically overly large post where he seems to just want to tell everyone how to beat him *giggles* Nice to see you've a fourth player, you can freely use normal codex lists in Apocalypse Mike954. Not sure on why Tyranids'll be allied with Blood Angels but I'm sure you and Anonymice can make something up. Adjudicator makes excessive use of special formations but its not nessersary and costs a fair number of points to do so sometimes its best to just use standard codex units. The only real complications will be different mission/deployment rules, for example timed set-up and no roll-off or siezing initiative. Assets are also new but I'm sure you can select which one you wish to use on the day easy enough.

I would very much like Elizabeth to bring her apoc markers, and books. That should cover most things, people should have their own dice, not as a rule, but simply because some people just like using their own stuff. Anyone using formations or spearheads should have the data-sheets with them, either printed, or in their book with a page held, for easy reference. Without game information, it is impossible to judge what can and cannot be done.
I would very much like Mike954 to bring his tyranid force. There are a lot of versions, like Blood angels have created a prosthetic hive mind to control a large tyranid force to "soak" the damage, or the other way around, that blood angels have been tricked by a much watered down genestealer magus, or something, that looks mainly human and has brought this fight together, knowing that both forces are just food at the end of it all. Is it michealanstead I'm teaming with? And this is my idea of a short message ^^
