Well It was a great day, at Leicester. Thanks to Floris and the gang for a great day of AT43 action. And that is not just because I won both matches...that is right people, won....both !! I will be using my AT43 dice for all gaming systems I think. Dave

Well done Dave. Congrats.
Now all you need to do is persuade your dice to roll that well at the club!

As far as I'm concerned the day was a great success.
Thanks to Dave and Maurice for making the long trip over to Leicester and adding to the fun and mayhem.
The linked games didn't work out so another big thank you to Dave for letting me steal the "themed table" idea. We will be using that next time.
There are pictures of the day and I'll email them over (none of Dave rolling dice, so there is no proof).

Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one.
My UNA are itching for a second outing. I do so many things that making time for AT-43 games has been difficult of late.

Woooh!!! Go Dave, Go Dave!!! Or as we say in Sweden, "Even a blind hen finds a grain sometimes" (Implying that an occurance, however improbable, might still happen.)

Glad to here some people made it to the event. Was planning to make the next one, but just been invited to a party the night before... so should make the March event!

Not wishing to run before we can walk, but I think AT43 does lack a tournament element, as enjoyed by GW games, war Machine, FoG, Flames of War... etc etc. Dave Cloussau, you are 'in' with people in the business side of Rackham over here are you not? and are you on the sentinal programme? What is the potential for a larger scale AT43 event, may be hooked on to an existing tournament such as Campaign in MK? As there are no such tournaments, to my knowledge, it would be interesting to see the response. Dave

Unfortunately the Sentinel programme died last year, if not before - just after I got my T-shirt.
I'll post something on the UKCORD forum and see what information there is, if any.
One idea would be to follow a campaign such as Operation Frostbite

Ah, I'd better re-work my army list as I'd worked out a straight 1,600 point list as that was my understanding of how it was going to work.

Remember that it is the soft split from Frostbite. This means you can spend up to 1100ap on the main force.
So a 1000 / 600 army is legal, heck even a 250 / 1350 would be legal.
There are missions for each table (lessons learned from last month) and some of these have both players as the attacker so the split is not used. Other tables use the 1100 / 500 split.

I'm going to say what?
I don't have a copy of Frostbite, so I don't really know what's in that. I'm reasonably familiar with the basic rules, i.e the ones you can download from Rackham's website, but that's it.
If any split is legal, why would I split my army at all? I'd rather have all 1,600 points start on the table thanks rather than holding any in reserve.
